something seems to have happened

i have no idea what's the matter, but i seem to not be able to compose songs as much as compared to the past. have i ran out of ideas or inspirations? am i too busy? have i lost interest? hmm..

oh well, i guess the most likely reason is that i now try to compose better quality songs, and as such they'd probably take a longer time to write. i could write a 4 chord repetitive song in an instant, but i don't go for that kind of songs anymore. i now have an internal filter which decides whether an idea i have is worth my effort to be made into a proper song, and it seems to be rejecting everything so far. i do have a good idea for a chorus though, but i'm having problems coming up with other parts of the song to match the standard of the chorus.

it's a bit frustrating, this feeling.
